First Newsletter

We are pleased to present the first newsletter of the Network of Excellence on Micro-Optics (NEMO). The newsletter will be published several times a year and will provide information about the latest scientific results and news. It will give recent information on technologies and offers in a wide range of micro optical topics.

In this issue of the newsletter you will find a description of the network’s aims as well as short portraits of network partners. In addition information about scientific results can be obtained from the rubric “NEMO inside”. The role and service offer of NEMO’s Industrial User Club (IUC) as the interface between the academic partners in NEMO and the industrial companies is presented in the corresponding rubric. A more laborated article in the rubric “Tutorial” testing of micro lenses . Developments relevant for industry and elaborated in cooperation with industry are briefly presented in “Technology breakthroughs”.
