Description

LightTrans GmbH has been founded in 1998 by Petra Wyrowski and Prof. Frank Wyrowski. Its mission is the development and distribution of innovative optical engineering services and products. The company has about 10 co-workers which are physicists, engineers, traders, and students. LightTrans has customers worldwide with emphasis on Europe and Japan. LightTrans provides them with engineering solutions, photonics devices and optical engineering software.
Managing photons on the base of wave-optical engineering for applications like materials processing, illumination, lithography, and life style constitute the major R&D work at LightTrans. The company is trendsetter in wave-optical engineering and its applications. Its software VirtualLab(TM) sets standards of wave-optical engineering software. Extensive computer facilities are available at LightTrans. An optical lab allows the test of prototypes and as member of the Jena Photon Fabrication Network extensive fabrication and test technology is available.
